Andrey Batt

Andrey Batt is a Russian actor, director, musician and producer. He was born Andrey Sergeevich Batychko on August 6, 1985 in Tallinn, USSR. Andrey began acting at the age of nine, with a performances at the Moscow elementary school theatre. While attending school, Andrey became involved in filmmaking and film-production. In 2002, at just seventeen, Batt produced and directed his first film "Remix Tape Volume 1", making him one of the youngest directors in the history of cinema. This basketball music film, showcased his remarkable ability to single-handedly manage every aspect of production. Working with VHS cameras and a slow home computer in his bedroom, Batt handled filming, producing, directing, editing, music composition, and artwork. The project’s success, despite the absence of modern distribution platforms like YouTube, demonstrated his resourcefulness and determination. He personally burned CDs and DVDs and distributed them within basketball communities, creating an authentic grassroots following. The success of the first installment led to a sequel in 2004, further establishing Andrey’s reputation as a young visionary. Andrey was also interested in music, especially Hip-Hop. In the early 2000s, he expanded his talents into music, becoming a self-taught hip-hop producer and beat maker. His early collaborations with African artists led to his music being played on mainstream African radio stations — when he was only nineteen. The young artist was already going global. In 2010 Andrey moved to Los Angeles, where studied acting and filmmaking. Soon afterwards, he appeared in TV shows such as "Justified", "The Walking Dead" and "The Killing". At the same time, Andrey released several successful songs. In 2015 his music hits European and Asian charts with high places. Year later, in 2016 Batt performed with a musical Halftime Show at EuroLeague, the most prestigious sports tournament in Europe. The same year, he launched his breakthrough documentary series "The Artist's Adventures". In 2023, Andrey returned to acting and voiced Marty the caterpillar, in the Canadian animated motion picture "Butterfly Tale". As of today, Andrey Batt ranks among the Top 30 U.S. celebrities in the "Artists" category and the Top 20 Russian celebrities on Instagram.
