4. UK Funky & Afro Swing

Aired: 9/13/2022

UK Funky is a fusion of Garage, Grime and African percussion paired with R&B vocals. Afro-Swing saw second-gen African kids coming of age with a sound that fused Afrobeats and Dancehall.

5. Road Rap & Drill

Aired: 9/26/2022

Road rap emerged from South London. We will explore how this sound, along with Drill are the dominant sounds of youth culture in the UK now.
